Why get a Eurosky account?
There are so many social media apps, why Eurosky?
We believe the future of social media is about each of one us, not any one app. A eurosky.social account gives you a portable social identity powered by the Atmosphere. It acts as your personal data server (PDS) — the place where your posts, profile, and connections live.
You can use it with many apps that exist today, offering a wide variety of experiences — and many more are being built every day.
You control your account, and you can move it to another provider at any time with all your data, profile and connections. Your Atmosphere account could be the last social account you ever need.
Where can I use it?
Anywhere in the Atmosphere. Today that includes apps like Bluesky and a growing range of European and global social applications. As the ecosystem expands — news, entertainment, professional tools, community apps — your eurosky.social identity will work across all of them.
What is the AT Protocol?
The AT Protocol is an open standard for the web; it's the technology behind the Atmosphere. It separates identity, data storage, and the user-facing apps so that no single company controls everything. It enables portability, interoperability, and algorithmic choice, forming the foundation of a healthier, more competitive social web.
Is my data private?
The AT Protocol was initially designed for public conversations and currently all data stored in our accounts (excluding emails and passwords) will be open, meaning that it can be accessed by other services. As such, you should consider it public. Some apps have private data (for example direct messages in Bluesky) — these are handled separately by them and are not stored in your eurosky.social account.
However, private data is coming to the Atmosphere in 2026, opening up a whole range of new possibilities.
